FAQ
The answers most founders ask first.
Pricing, timelines, ownership, NDAs, support, accessibility, security - all of it, on the record.
How much does a custom software project cost?
Most Blue Rocket Development projects range from $15k (a focused custom-programming sprint) to $250k+ (an enterprise-grade SaaS or mobile app). We provide fixed-price quotes after a brief scoping conversation - usually within one business day.
How long does a typical project take?
Marketing websites ship in 6-10 weeks. Mobile apps take 8-20 weeks depending on platforms and scope. SaaS platforms run 14-22 weeks for a launch-grade build. Custom-programming sprints land in 1-2 weeks. Every contract names a specific delivery date.
Do I own the code?
Yes - 100%. Source code, infrastructure-as-code, design files, documentation and credentials all transfer to you on final invoice. No license games. No vendor lock-in.
Do you sign NDAs?
Routinely. Send yours or use ours - we sign before the first technical conversation.
Are you actually based in El Paso, Texas?
Yes. Our headquarters is in El Paso, TX 79925 - same time zone as Denver, same work ethic as the Southwest. We never offshore your project.
Do you handle ongoing support after launch?
Yes. We offer post-launch retainers covering hosting, monitoring, security patches, accessibility checks and incremental feature work - billed transparently per month with a clear SLA.
Will my software pass an accessibility audit?
Yes. Every release ships against WCAG 2.1 AA - automated axe-core in CI plus manual screen-reader QA. We publish a conformance report per release on request.
How do you protect my data and IP?
Threat-modeled architecture, encrypted secrets, MFA, audit logging, dependency scanning, and SOC 2-aligned engineering processes. Our standards page details the full posture.
What if my project is smaller than your usual?
Try our custom-programming sprints. We routinely take on $4-12k focused engagements - the kind a bigger agency would decline.
What if I already have a developer / team?
Great. We can embed a senior engineer into your existing process, take on a slice of your roadmap, or run an architecture review. We treat your team as the first stakeholder.
How do payments work?
Most engagements are milestone-billed (e.g., 30/30/30/10) against a fixed scope. Retainers bill monthly in advance. We accept ACH, wire and major credit cards.
What if we want to cancel mid-project?
You can. You pay for work completed through the cancellation date - and walk away with full code, design and documentation. No exit penalties, ever.
